The second event held on Saturday, October 18th, for this year’s Global Youth Initiative was an absolutely amazing and unique experience. My heart was to focus on diversity — to bring together youth from different backgrounds and nationalities, empowering them with the leadership traits that already exist within them.
We partnered with hashtag#YuvaEktaFoundation to connect with their youth (16–18 years) through a radio broadcast on Bhaichara Radio, an internal broadcast radio station run by Yuva Ekta Foundation at a juvenile facility in Delhi.
It was, as they beautifully said, “a heartwarming interaction between the boys and the Maxwell team.”
The real life stories shared by the facilitators were gripping and inspiring, forming genuine human connections beyond geographic and linguistic boundaries.
We facilitators joined from six different time zones — India, Qatar, Mexico, Texas, Maryland, and Pretoria. Between personal stories and songs that echoed our journeys, their facilitators translated and added their warmth.
The boys had lots of questions and discussed the leadership lessons from the stories they heard. They were aware, ambitious, and filled with hope. They were artists, confident speakers, and passionate singers.
That day, I witnessed what I truly believe — love, compassion, care, and empathy can change hearts and lives. That’s where leadership is born.
